Beluga Whales, Bears & Blooms

6 Days / 5 Nights | Winnipeg to Winnipeg

Ice break-up in spring brings droves of beluga whales to the Churchill River. The beluga whales enjoy the summer months of July and August in the Churchill River where the river water is warmer than the ocean water and the whales are able to feed on crustaceans. Summer is the perfect time to visit Churchill and we offer exciting itineraries including beluga whale watching, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, Tundra Buggy Adventures and town and area tours.

Primary activities include a guided boat and zodiac beluga tour; an exciting dog carting excursion; cultural tours of Fort Prince of Wales, the Churchill Eskimo museum and Parks Canada Interpretive Centre; and a half-day Tundra Buggy excursion into the Churchill Wildlife Management area to view the colorful and abundant flora and fauna of the arctic tundra, including the magnificent polar bear.
