Discover Dinosaur Provincial Park Tour (operates Thu, Fri & Sat only)
Step into another world. Watch the landscape transform from goldenprairie to wild Badlands as you journey from Calgary to DinosaurProvincial Park.
Together we will explore Dinosaur Provincial Park, one of the world’srichest deposits of ancient fossils. Start off by standing on the edgeof the prairie looking out over the largest most continuous stretch ofBadlands. You’ll be amazed by the abundant fossils, unusual wildlife andstunning landscapes at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore thefossil exhibits in the Visitor Centre and get up close to the species thathave discovered right here in the park. After lunch we will hike as a groupamong the hoodoos on the Badlands Trail. An expert park interpreter willmeet us at one of the two fossil houses to introduce us to the HeadlessHadrosaur and then we set of into the protected natural preserve tosearch for fossils in the wild. No visit to the park would be completewithout a walk into the lowest point of the park, with the Badlandspeaks high above you, to visit the Plains Cottonwood tree’s that areestimated to be more than 200 years old. After walking in the footstepsof prehistoric giants we will depart (around 4pm)to return to Calgary intime for dinner (estimated arrival in Calgary is 6.30pm).
