DAY 1

Own arrival to Fairbanks accommodation

Day 2

STERNWHEELER RIVERBOAT DISCOVERY CRUISE

Duration: 3 hours

Take a ride on the authentic sternwheeler Riverboat Discovery III for a fully-narrated 3 hour cruise along the Chena and Tanana Rivers. See a bush plane demonstration. Visit the home and kennels of the late four-time Iditarod winner Susan Butcher. Gain insight into the ancient Athabascan Indian culture with a one hour visit to a replica of an Athabascan Indian Village. Alaskan Native guideswill take you ashore for a personalized tour of the village where you’ll discover traditional Native  lifestyles. Learn how the wolf, fox, martin, and beaver were used to provide food and protection in the harsh Arctic climate. Enjoy the work of an Athabascan bead work artist. Back on the boat, watch a fish wheel in operation and see the ‘Wedding of the Rivers’ where the Chena and Tanana Rivers converge. End the tour at Steamboat Landing and Discovery Trading Post which features Captain Jim’s Gourmet Smoked Salmon.

DAY 3

FAIRBANKS TO DENALI SHUTTLE

Depart: 07:00 Arrive: 10:00

Connect between Alaska’s most famous National Park and Fairbanks in a convenient anduncomplicated way. To make your transfer between Denali and Fairbanks as easy as possible, we will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, hostel or campground in Denali and Fairbanks.

DAY 4

DENALI TUNDRA WILDERNESS TOUR (MORNING DEPARTURE) – STONY HILL

Duration: Approx. 8 hours

This narrated bus tour takes you through the pristine wilderness of Denali. The experienced driver/naturalist will provide an overview of the land and its wildlife as you travel approximately 85km / 53mi on the park road. Along the way, stops will be made at scenic overlooks and for viewing wildlife, such as bears, caribou and moose. We have included a small snack and hot beverage for the trip as there is no food concession in the park.

DAY 5

DENALI TO TALKEETNA (DENALI STAR) – GOLD STAR SERVICE

GoldStar passengers enjoy confirmed upper level dome car seating with glass roof, priority check-in and a private outdoor viewing deck. Seating is plush, leather trimmed and with more leg room than most first class airline seats. Seat pitch is over 39 inches. The entire roof is curved glass to nearly waist level height. Front and rear walls are also glass to afford a new level of wildlife and sceneryobservation throughout the journey. There is a bar with a full time attendant on the upper deck. On the lower level is the dining area.

Lunch is included from Denali to Talkeetna.

TALKEETNA TO ANCHORAGE (DENALI STAR) – GOLD STAR SERVICE

GIRDWOOD TO SEWARD (COASTAL CLASSIC) – GOLD STAR SERVICE

KENAI FJORD NATIONAL PARK CRUISE

Depart: 11:30 Arrive: 17:30

This cruise travels through the pristine waters of Resurrection Bay for up close encounters with wildlife. The wildlife cruises will be guided alongside large bird rookeries and sea lion colonies, providing stops for pictures and to view passing whales and sea otters.

You will also have the opportunity to view several types of glaciers, including the enormous Bear Glacier, which is the largest glacier in the Kenai Fjords National Park. A deli-style lunch is included onboard.
