DAY 2

Experience the rustic charm of the renowned fishing village of Peggy’s Cove where you will enjoybreakfast. Then journey to Nova Scotia’s South Shore and discover the UNESCO World HeritageTown of Lunenburg where you will take a walking tour of the town and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. This afternoon, you will have some free time to stroll through the picture-perfect town of Mahone BayBreakfast & Dinner included

DAY 3

HALIFAX TO CHARLOTTETOWN

Today we arrive on Prince Edward Island via the Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest continuous multi-span bridge. En route, learn about the Mi’kmaq culture at the Glooscap HeritageCentre & Mi’kmaq Museum. You will arrive in Charlottetown the birthplace of Canada, for a two-nightstay. Take in a theatre performance this evening by local entertainers at the Confederation Centre ofthe Arts(a substitution activity may be necessary due to the theatre schedule.)

DAY 4

Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown or join a complimentary walking tour of the city. This afternoon,drive by red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields as you make your way toPrince Edward Island National Park. We then visit Green Gable s Heritage Site, the alluringinspiration of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic Anne of Green Gables books. Before returning toCharlottetown, you will experience true Maritime hospitality this evening at a traditional lobster supper.

DAY 5

CHARLOTTETOWN TO BADDECK

Take the ferry from Wood Islands back to Nova Scotia and proceed to Cape Breton Island – theScotland of North America – via the Canso Causeway. Visit the Alexander Graham Bell NationalHistoric Site in Baddeck to marvel at the many accomplishments of this genius. Arrive at youraccommodations on the Bras d’Or Lake where you will spend two nights.

DAY 6

You are off to experience one of the most spectacular drives in North America: the world famous Cabot Trail and Cape Breton Highlands National Park. You’ll wind along a ribbon of highway where the mountains meet the sea, and should the weather permit, enjoy a whale watching boat tour.

Overnight in Baddeck

DAY 7

BADDECK TO HALIFAX

The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site awaits you. Words cannot do justice to thisreconstruction of one fifth of the settlement of 1744 New France. Roam the streets and chat withauthentically costumed guides. Your tour continues along the shore of the Bras d’Or Lake to themainland, and back to Halifax for one last night in the Maritimes.
